Install prepaid train card into your iPhone/Android

To make your travel around Japan convenient and hassle-free, we highly recommend using Mobile Suica and Pasmo. These are rechargeable smart cards that can be used for various modes of transportation and even for shopping.

What are “Suica” and “Pasmo”?

Suica and Pasmo are electronic payment systems primarily used for public transportation in Japan.
They are incredibly convenient for navigating the extensive train, subway, and bus networks in cities like Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and beyond. With these cards, you can avoid the hassle of buying tickets each time you travel.

Physical Card vs Mobile

A physical card called “Welcome Suica” is valid  for only four weeks, come without a deposit fee, but do not allow for refunds.
I recommend to use a Physical Card if your stay is less than four weeks!
You can buy “Welcome Suica” at Haneda Airport/Narita Airport / Shinjuku station / Shibuya station etc…
